About the challenge

What is The Dead Hang?

This deceptively simple move challenges your grip strength, improves shoulder stability and pushes your mental toughness.

How to Perform the Dead Hang
  1. Set Up: Use a secure overhead bar. Position a step or bench beneath you so you can easily reach the bar, no jumping or straining to grab it.

  2. Grip the bar: Hold the bar with an overhand grip (palms facing away from you), keeping your hands shoulder-width apart.

  3. Engage and hang: Step off the bench so you’re hanging freely. Keep your arms straight, your body relaxed, and your core slightly engaged.

Hold on and let's finish the year stronger than we started.

The winner

The winner is the athlete who holds on to the bar for the longest time.
